Formerly known as the national Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Program (EMAP), the National Coastal Assessment Program (NCAP) was created to provide basic answers to environmental problems affecting the nation's environmental resources.
For over 20 years, Coastal Resources Division has been monitoring the water quality of Georgia’s coastal waters for the safe recreational and commercial harvest of shellfish (oysters & clams).
An effort to assess the nutrient load in our coastal rivers, sounds and estuaries.
